Stephanie, Rhodi and I trekked on down to Nevada City to join a crowd of fellow fiber groupies, there to glean autographs from our newly-famous and recently twice-published friend and fellow fiber guild member, Sara Lamb. Whew, I really oughta prune that sentence, but it's late and I want to get this post UP... it's already old news!
Since we were fiber junkies, in a room with other, like-minded souls, we drank champagne in their honor as published authors, and clamored around them to get their signatures on our magazine copies... here Stephanie (left) and Rhodi (center) take turns mobbing Sara (right).
There was spinning and knitting going on, as the reception was at the end of Meadowfarm Yarn Studio's spinning Saturday; here Barbara Sue looked surprised to be photographed. I am not sure why... isn't that what paparazzi do?
Many of them will gather tomorrow for our semi-annual Dye Day, while I will be off to finish up my three-day Navajo weaving workshop (more on that later... I have been taking photos as I go!). Then, next weekend many of us will gather (in costume!) at the Celtic Festival to demonstrate spinning, knitting and weaving. If you are in the area, stop by and say hello! There's just no nicer bunch than fiber people:)
